Blood at the Root

Project statement

When I first came across Blood at the Root, I imagined what it would look like through a zoom lens during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the production had to be condensed into 20 minutes. 1 full year later, after producing the zoom version, I am so proud to show our community the full-length version. This show is essential to showcase the black voices of our Columbia community in a theatrical sense. The issues that are spoken about in the play are still relevant today and will continue to be relevant if we let ignorance win.
